The Palm Bay TSA Chapter competed in the State Conference over spring break placing 2nd overall as a team. Many recognitions were received. Jacob Hines was recognized as the Florida TSA Distinguished Student, Sterling Mazzerella, Nolan Werle, and Arielle Smith received the Silver Leadership Award. Receiving scholarships from FTEEA and Florida TSA were Elijah Razis and Jacob Hines. The team was recognized with the Star Award for helping Space Coast Jr. Sr. High establish chapters.
The team earned finalist recognition in 29 of 40 events and placed in the top three of the following: Chapter Team (Parliamentary procedure), Children's Stories 2nd, Dragster Design 1st, Flight Endurance 2nd, Robotics 3rd, Senior Solar Sprint 1st, System Control 2nd, Technology Problem Solving 2nd.
Several students will advance to the National Competition in Washington DC this summer. Congratulations, TSA Pirates!
